War update: 140 clashes along front lines, most in Lyman axis

A total of 140 combat engagements have been reported on Ukraine’s battlefield over the past 24 hours, most of them in the Lyman operational direction.

That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

“In total, 140 combat clashes were recorded yesterday,” the report reads.

In the Kharkiv direction, Ukrainian troops repelled four enemy attacks in the Vovchansk area.

In the Kupiansk direction, nine attacks were recorded in the past day. Defense forces repelled assaults near Lozova, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Bohuslavka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 22 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Nove, Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, Zarichne, Yampolivka, Novoliubivka, and Torske.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 12 attacks as the enemy attempted to gain ground toward Bilohorivka, Fedorivka, and Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, two clashes were recorded in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 19 attacks toward Dachne, Kurdiumivka, Krymske, Druzhba, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders held back 21 assaults in the areas of Valentynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Oleksiivka, and Andriivka.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 19 attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Skudne, Burlatske, and toward Vesele.

In the Huliaipole direction, the invaders carried out seven attacks in the areas of Novosilka and Pryvilne.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled six assaults in the directions of Novodanylivka, Piatykhatky, Shcherbaky, and Stepove.

In the Prydniprovia direction, the enemy made an unsuccessful attempt to attack Ukraine’s positions.

In the operational zone across Kursk region, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces have repelled 11 attacks over the past 24 hours. The enemy launched 41 air strikes involving 61 glide bombs, and 272 artillery attacks, including 19 rocket salvos.

No signs any offensive groupings being formed were spotted in the Volyn and Polissia directions.

“Our soldiers are inflicting significant losses on the occupation forces’ manpower and equipment, actively undermining the enemy’s offensive potential behind the front lines,” the military assured.

In addition, over the past day, the Russians launched two missile strikes and 113 air raids on the positions of Ukrainian units and at peaceful settlements, employing two missiles and releasing 168 KAB glide bombs. Over 6,000 artillery strikes were reported, including 186 involving MLR systems. Russia also employed 2,930 kamikaze drones.

Over the past day, aviation, Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit nine manpower and equipment clusters, 12 artillery units, two command posts, an UAV control point, as well as another important target.

As reported earlier, Russia’s war casualty toll in Ukraine has been estimated at 887,620, including 1,300 killed or wounded in the past day alone.
