
Fighting in Russia’s Kursk region is ongoing, the information about Russian forces capturing Sudzhy is false.
Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), stated this in a Telegram post, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Fighting in Kursk region is ongoing, as well as fighting in the direction of Sudzhy. As of now, the information about the capture of Sudzhy by the Russians is not true,” Kovalenko said.
Earlier, Roman Kostenko, Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, informed Ukrinform that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had not fully withdrawn from the town of Sudzhy and from Kursk region.
Additionally, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, in a briefing on March 12, confirmed that Ukrainian troops in Russia’sKursk region are carrying out their tasks, and the military command is doing everything possible to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
