Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down 74 drones launched by Russian forces overnight, while an additional 38 enemy decoy UAVs disappeared from radar, causing no harm.
Ukraine’s Air Force announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Russia launched a large-scale air assault on the night of March 13, 2025 (starting at 19:00 on March 12), using an Iskander-M ballistic missile fired from the Kursk region and 117 Shahed attack drones and various decoy UAVs launched from Shatalovo, Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Fighter jets, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire teams from Ukraine’s Air Force and Defense Forces were used to counter the attack.
As of 09:00, Ukraine confirmed the downing of 74 Shahed drones and other UAVs over the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions.
Some 38 enemy decoy drones vanished from radar and failed to reach their targets.
Russian attacks caused damage in the Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
