President Zelensky receives report from CinC Syrskyi on battlefield situation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received a report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi on the battlefield situation along the front line.

Zelensky shared this in his evening address, as reported by Ukrinform.

“Today, the Commander-in-Chief also provided a report on the battlefield situation. Fighting and our defensive operations continue along almost the entire front line, including many key locations – from Kharkiv region and the Kupiansk sector to the southern directions,” Zelensky said.

The President thanked all those who are committed to Ukraine’s defense and resilience.

“I am grateful to all Ukrainian soldiers, every one of our units. I thank everyone who works for our defense and for our state. I thank all Ukrainians for every fundraiser for our Ukrainian army,” he added.

Zelensky gave special recognition to the warriors of the 59th Separate Assault Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, for their successful missions in the Pokrovsk direction; the 425th Separate Assault Regiment for their bravery in liberating positions from Russian occupiers; the 100th and 24th Separate Mechanized Brigades for effectively destroying Russian equipment and personnel in the Toretsk and Kramatorsk sectors.

As reported earlier, by 16:00 on March 16, there had been 64 combat clashes between Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops.
