Fighters of the 3rd Operational Brigade Spartan named after Colonel Petro Bolbochan of the National Guard of Ukraine, captured a Russian serviceman on the Pokrovsk front.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Spartan brigade announced this on Facebook and released a video of the captured soldier’s interrogation.
“The warriors of the Spartan brigade captured another Russian occupier on the Pokrovsk front. He is one of the hundreds who move in small groups with only one task: to reach the point and lie low while waiting for reinforcements,” the post says.
The prisoner is a 48-year-old resident of Russia’s Krasnodar territory who signed a military contract in February 2025.
According to the captive, he was “tired of wandering through prisons” and decided to “earn some money.” However, the Russian soldier admitted that “even before being sent to Ukraine, he knew he would surrender because he didn’t want to go back.”
As reported by Ukrinform earlier, fighters from the Spartan brigade had previously captured three Russian soldiers on the Pokrovsk front. Two of the captives were residents of Russia’s Tomsk region, while the third was from Samara region.
