Blackouts introduced in Poltava region following Russian drone attack

Emergency power outages were put in place in the Kremenchuk district of Poltava region after damage was inflicted by the downed Russian drone debris.

This was reported on Telegram by the local administration head, Volodymyr Kohut, Ukrinform saw.

According to the official, “at night the enemy tried to attack Poltava region, where air defense was activated”. There were no casualties, the report reads.

After UAV debris caused damage on the ground, emergency power outages were applied in the Kremenchuk district where 1,035 households and 41 businesses are now in blackout.

Repair teams are already working to restore power supply, Kohut noted.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on the evening of March 16, Russian troops launched several groups of one-way attack drones and an air raid alert was declared in a number of regions.
