The Ukrainian Parliament’s Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets has called on the international community to intensify pressure on Russia to stop its barbaric terror aimed at Ukrainian children.

As reported by Ukrinform, Lubinets shared a message on Telegram stating that a video is circulating on social media showing a boy who sustained shrapnel wounds from a Russian drone attack.

The boy explained that the invaders opened fire at him and his friends while they were playing outside.

“Kherson constantly suffers from Russian attacks targeting the civilian population. One of the ‘entertainments’ of the invaders is chasing peaceful residents with drones and dropping explosives on them. This time, the target was children,” the Ombudsman stated.

Lubinets emphasized that the barbaric acts targeting the most vulnerable grossly violate international humanitarian law.

“The international community must increase pressure on Russia because every child should be protected! Impunity leads only to more crimes,” the Ombudsman stressed.

“The Russians continue their ‘safari’ on the residents of Kherson,” the message stated.

The video shows the boy describing how the enemy “hunted” him and his friends, with the children fleeing as the Russian drone operator struck at them.

As reported by Ukrinform, three children were injured in a Russian attack in Pokrovsk.
