On May 21-22, a forum on modern security challenges, Europe Civil Security, will be held in Warsaw, which will consider Ukraine’s experience in countering Russian aggression.

Ukrinform learned about the event from its organizers.

“Global challenges require new approaches, and cooperation, support, and international interaction are key elements for creating a secure future and the key to our common victory. Europe Civil Security is an opportunity for European countries to learn more about the unique Ukrainian experience and jointly develop effective mechanisms for responding to modern threats,” organizers said.

The forum will feature panel discussions on civil protection, fire safety, monitoring and warning systems, emergency response, and the role of international funds and public associations in implementing security projects on the community level. The event will also examine successful examples of security projects implemented in Ukraine.

The event is organized by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in partnership with the All-Ukrainian Association of Local Governments “Association of United Territorial Communities” as part of a project run with the support of the European Commission within the framework of the European Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM). The forum will be held with the participation of the Civil Protection Services from the EU Member States, the Association of Local Governments of the EU, international donors and partners.

The event will be hosted by the Warsaw EXPO XXI Exhibition Center with financial support from the EU.
