Ukraine currently does not have sufficient military capabilities to quickly liberate all the territories temporarily occupied by the Russian aggressor. However, in the future, they will inevitably be de-occupied.
This was stated by Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, during a broadcast on Radio Liberty, reports a Ukrinform correspondent.
“We are fully aware that, as of today, we do not have the military capacity to quickly liberate all the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Therefore, the status of these territories may remain temporarily occupied,” the MP noted.
However, Venislavskyi emphasized that Ukraine will eventually reclaim these territories.
“Whether by diplomatic means or by military action — it will become clear in the short-, medium-, or long-term perspective,” he added.
As reported by Ukrinform, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that many elements of the final peace agreement on Ukraine have already been agreed upon, but much remains to be done. This will be part of his discussion with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.
