Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian forces have encountered 76 combat clashes with Russian troops, with fighting ongoing in six sectors of the front. The Kursk front has seen the most intense attacks from the Russian military.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
The Ukrainian defenders are continuing to hold off Russian advances taking all necessary measures to prevent the enemy from pushing deeper into Ukrainian territory.
The Russians fired mortars and artillery at Khrinivka, Hirsk, Yeline, and Karpovychi in Chernihiv region, Novovasylivka, Bila Berizka, Kucherivka, Myropil, Petrushivka, Hrabovske, and Porozok in Sumy region.
Russia also launched an airstrike on Medvedivka in Chernihiv region.
In the Kharkiv sector, seven attacks were carried out by Russian troops near Vovchansk and Mala Shapkivka, with four clashes still ongoing. Russian airstrikes targeted Kozacha Lopan.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces conducted two attacks near Petropavlivka and Zahryzove.
In the Lyman sector, Russian troops launched four attacks near Yampolivka and Nove.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces attempting to advance near Chasiv Yar and Kurdiumivka. Two of three attacks have already been repelled by Ukrainian forces.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy made eight assault attempts inear Ozarianivka, Druzhba, and Toretsk. Four attacks are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops carried out 18 assaults near Oleksandropil, Zelene Pole, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Kotlyne, Preobrazhenka, Bohdanivka, Yasenove, and Andriivka. Ukrainian forces have successfully repelled 17 attacks.
In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian forces have repelled four assaults. The Russians are attempting to advance near Kostiantynopil.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian positions twice toward Pryvilne and Vilne Pole. Additionally, they launched three aerial strikes at Huliaipole and Zaliznychne.
In the Orikhiv sector, three Russian attacks were reported near Stepove and Shcherbaky, with two of them still ongoing.
In the Prydniprovske sector, the Russians launched three attacks, all of which were unsuccessful.
In Russia’s Kursk region, Ukrainian forces have successfully repelled 20 attacks. The enemy also deployed 17 guided aerial bombs during their strikes.
There have been no offensive operations by Russian forces in the Siversk sector so far today.
No significant changes have been recorded in other sectors of the frontline.
As previously reported, the military command has decided to withdraw Ukrainian forces from less advantageous positions on one part of the front in Donetsk region.
