
A fire broke out in the Podilskyi district of Kyiv after debris from a downed enemy drone struck the roof of a residential building.
Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“According to preliminary reports, debris from a downed enemy drone fell on the roof of a residential building in the Podilskyi district, causing a fire,” he wrote.
Tkachenko added that emergency responders were on their way to the scene.
Meanwhile, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that as a result of the drone debris falling, a fire started on the fourth floor of a four-story building in the Podilslkyi district, with emergency services heading to the location.
According to the mayor, no one has sought medical assistance so far.
An air raid alert was declared in Kyiv and several regions due to the threat of Russian drones, with air defense forces active in the capital.
