
Farmers in the Vinnytsia region have sown a third of the area allocated for early spring grains and legumes.
This information was provided to Ukrinform by the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration.
“As of the morning of March 21, Vinnytsia agrarians across all categories of farms have sown spring grains and legumes on over 24,000 hectares, representing one-third of the area designated for early spring crops,” the regional administration stated.
It was noted that spring crops account for 6% of the total area allocated for grain crops in the 2025 harvest.
Specifically, 49% of the projected areas for spring wheat have been sown, along with 23% for spring barley, 76% for peas, and 82% for oats.
In total, agricultural enterprises in the region plan to sow spring grains and legumes across 395.2 thousand hectares this year, including 72.6 thousand hectares allocated for early crops, with 11.5 thousand hectares dedicated to spring wheat, 53 thousand hectares to spring barley, 7 thousand hectares to peas, and 1.1 thousand hectares to oats.
As previously reported, as of March 13, agrarians in 15 regions of Ukraine had sown 83 thousand hectares of spring grains and legumes.
