AFU shoot down 97 Russian drones, 25 vanish from radar

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have shot down 97 Russian drones, and another 25 enemy UAVs have been lost.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in a Telegram message.

Since 19:00 on Saturday, March 22, the Russians have attacked Ukraine with 147 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of imitator drones from the directions of: Millerovo, Bryansk, Kursk, Prymorsko-Akhtarsk, and Prymorsk (temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region).

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces.

As of 08:30 on Sunday, March 23, 97 Shahed-type attack UAVs (and other types of drones) were confirmed downed in the south, north, west and center of Ukraine.

25 enemy imitator drones were lost in the area (without negative consequences).

According to the Air Force, last night the enemy used a larger number of attack UAVs (at least 122 units) and imitation drones (25 units).

The consequences of the Russian attack were recorded in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Donetsk regions.

As reported by Ukrinform, in Kyiv, the fall of Russian drone debris was recorded in five districts, three people were killed, including a five-year-old child, and ten people were injured.
