One killed, another injured in Russian shelling in Sumy region

On Sunday, Russian forces targeted civilian infrastructure in the Myropillia community of the Sumy district. As a result of shelling and airstrikes, a 61-year-old woman was killed, and another person was injured.

The Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“According to the investigation, on March 23, 2025, throughout the day, the occupiers shelled and dropped guided aerial bombs on civilian infrastructure in the Myropillia community. The attack killed a 61-year-old shopkeeper and injured another person,” the statement reads.

Several private homes were also damaged or destroyed.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that Russian shelling had killed two men and injured another in the Donetsk region.
