Russian forces are preparing to once again falsely claim the capture of Toretsk in Donetsk region despite failing to seize the town.

According to Ukrinform, Dmytro Zaporozhets, Spokesperson for the Luhansk Operational Tactical Group stated this during a TV broadcast.

“There are all the indications suggesting that the enemy will soon begin to use equipment on the Toretsk axis more actively. According to intercepted data, there is information that the enemy is once again planning a ‘take two’ of capturing Toretsk,” Zaporozhets said.

The Spokesperson emphasized that Ukrainian forces are already aware of the enemy’s presence and continue to eliminate Russian units in the area.

Zaporozhets noted, among other things, that the enemy is currently planning to use motorized vehicles on the Toretsk axis for faster movement into the central part of the town, as well as for conducting assault operations and advancing toward the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
