Two people killed in Russian drone attack on Kyiv

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), two people were killed during an enemy attack on the capital overnight on March 23.

The SES shared this information on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.

Rescuers are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack in various districts of the city.

In Dniprovskyi district, a fire covering 100 square meters was extinguished on the upper floors of a 9-story building, spreading to the roof. A woman was killed. Twenty-seven people were evacuated from the building.

At another address, on the 6th floor of a 16-story building, the window, floor, and ceiling of one apartment were damaged.

In Podilskyi district, a fire covering 20 square meters was extinguished on the 20th floor of a 25-story residential building.

According to the rescuers, in Holosiivskyi district, efforts are ongoing to put out a fire in a four-story office and warehouse building covering 2,000 square meters. Additionally, a fire that engulfed a residential trailer and cargo trucks over an area of 60 square meters was extinguished. One person was killed.

In Desnianskyi district, there was a fire in an open area within a forest belt.

In Shevchenkivskyi district, two passenger cars were damaged, the SES added.

Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that seven people were injured in the Russian drone attack on the capital, with one of the victims hospitalized.
