
The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) 1000 tournament with a prize pool of USD 8.963 million is underway in the US city of Miami.
To reach the fourth round of the tournament, Ukraine’s second seeded player Marta Kostiuk, seeded 23rd, confidently defeated neutral Anna Blinkova 6-2, 6-1 in one hour, Ukrinform reports.
Kostiuk will play for a place in the quarterfinals against the winner of the match between the fourth-ranked American Jessica Pegula and the neutral Anna Kalynska (32).
The tournament in Miami will end on March 30.
As reported, Ukrainians Yuliia Starodubtseva, Dayana Yastremskay and Anhelina Kalinina ended their performances ahead of schedule after losing in the first round of the Miami Open.
