The Special Operations Force boasted a high-precision strike on Russia’s Belgorod region destroying four enemy helicopters.
The attack, prepared and performed jointly by the Special Operations Forces, MoD Main Intelligence Directorate, missile and artillery forces, obliterated two Ka-52s and two Mi-8s, the SOF press service stated.
The Ka-52 is an attack helicopter used for reconnaissance and attacks on ground targets.
Russian troops use Mi-8 transport helicopters to haul personnel and cargo, as well as to support ground operations.
All helicopters were destroyed by missiles deep in the enemy rear, where the Russians created an ad hoc hub for the aircraft group for spearhead operation support, to sustain stun attacks on Ukraine’s forces.
“The enemy once again suggested that deep in the rear they were safe. We have once again proven that thy can’t be safe anywhere when it comes to the SOF,” the statement emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Special Operations Forces destroyed Russia’s Utyos-Tm radar, which had been tracking Ukrainian aircraft, missiles and drones at a 360 km range.
