Since the start of the day, 156 combat clashes have occurred between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops, with battles still ongoing in 10 frontline directions. The Pokrovsk sector has seen the most intense fighting.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an update as of 16:00 on March 26, according to Ukrinform.
“Since the beginning of the day, the total number of combat clashes along the entire frontline is 156,” the report states.
According to the General Staff, Russian forces carried out artillery strikes on the settlements of Bachivsk, Petrushivka, Kucherivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Luhivka, Riasne, and Fotovyzh. Airstrikes targeted the areas of Turia, Krasnopillia, Uhroiidy, Mykhailivske, and Prokhody.
In the Kharkiv sector, two Russian assault actions took place towards Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attempted to advance three times toward Ukrainian positions near Holubivka and Zahryzove. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, Russian troops carried out five attacks near Kopanky, Yampolivka, and toward Nove and Novomykhailivka. One clash continues.
In the Siversk sector, the enemy launched seven offensive actions near Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, and Ivano-Darivka. Four clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled three Russian attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, and Bila Hora. One attack is still underway.
In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 15 times near Toretsk, Dachne, Krymske, and Dyliivka. Two clashes are ongoing.
The heaviest fighting is in the Pokrovsk sector, with 53 Russian attacks on Ukrainian positions near Oleksandropil, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Vidrodzhennia, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novoserhiivka, and Preobrazhenka. Seven clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 Russian attacks near Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Skudne, and Vesele. Five clashes are still in progress.
In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy carried out 15 assault actions near Rivnopil, Novosilka, Pryvilne, Vilne Pole, and Novopil. Five battles are still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukraine’s Defense Forces successfully halted seven Russian attacks near Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Lobkove, and Shcherbaky. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Prydniprovske sector, the Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped one enemy attack.
In the Kursk sector, 19 clashes were reported, with two still ongoing. The enemy also carried out seven airstrikes, dropped nine guided bombs, and conducted 186 artillery shellings, including six with multiple rocket launch systems.
According to Ukrinform, the Luhansk Operational Tactical Group reports that the Toretsk sector is seeing the most frequent Russian assault actions.
