Ukraine’s Defense Forces strictly adhere to agreements with international partners and do not strike Russia’s energy infrastructure, focusing exclusively on military targets.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a statement posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense continues to spread false claims, alleging that Ukraine has struck energy facilities in Russia and occupied territories, the statement said.

Meanwhile, Russia itself continues to violate agreements by attacking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. In the past 24 hours alone, Russian shelling damaged energy facilities in the Kherson and Poltava regions. Ukraine is now awaiting an appropriate response from its international partners.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russia’s ongoing disinformation campaigns aim to discredit Ukraine and undermine its diplomatic efforts alongside international allies.

“Russia’s strategy of prolonging the war remains unchanged,” the General Staff said.

Previously, Russia’s Ministry of Defense accused Ukraine of striking a gas metering station in Sudzha, Kursk region, with a HIMARS multiple rocket launcher on March 28. The alleged attack reportedly caused a fire, destroying the facility.

However, Andrii Kovalenko, head of Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, stated that Russia itself was responsible for the attack on its gas transportation system in Sudzha.
