One of the individuals injured in the overnight attack on Dnipro is in critical condition — both of his forearms were amputated.
This was reported by a Ukrinform correspondent, citing information from doctor Oleksandr.
“Around 22:00, March 28, the first injured individuals began to arrive at the hospital, either on their own or by ambulance teams. All patients had mine-explosive injuries to the head, chest, and limbs. The most serious patients, a 68-year-old couple, were immediately taken to the intensive care unit. The man is in extremely critical condition. After being examined by anesthesiologists, surgeons, and traumatologists, the patient was immediately sent to surgery. He remains in critical condition and is in the intensive care unit. He has a mine-explosive injury, a traumatic brain injury, both forearms amputated, and wounds to his torso combined with burns,” the doctor said.
The man is on a ventilator.
Overnight on March 28, Dnipro suffered another devastating enemy strike on civilian infrastructure.
Throughout the night, 14 patients were delivered by ambulance or sought medical help on their own, with three of them in serious condition.
Among the injured is a 30-year-old pregnant woman.
“She had a stress disorder, and considering her early stage of pregnancy, we also hospitalized her in the intensive care unit. Another woman came in the morning for a consultation with a trauma specialist. Nine patients, after being examined by specialists, refused hospitalization,” the doctor noted.
Two patients have been hospitalized in intensive care. The lives of the other patients are not in danger.
As previously reported, late on March 28, explosions occurred in Dnipro during an attack by strike drones. According to Head of the Regional Military Administration Serhii Lysak, a large fire broke out in a restaurant complex, and there was also a fire in a high-rise building and private homes.
As a result of the attack by Russian drones, four people were killed, 21 were injured, and the city witnessed widespread destruction and fires.
