Fighters from the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry employed experimental weapons to intercept two Shahed-type one-way attack drones in a row overnight Saturday, March 29.
This was reported by the HUR press service, which released an exclusive video showing the destruction of enemy targets, Ukrinform saw.
The scouts used the latest “drone vs. drone” system – experimental interceptor UAV, jointly designed by Ukraine and international partners.
“After the testing stage and use in combat conditions, the weapon proved highly efficient. The production volumes of Shahed killers will be scaled up,” the intelligence agency wrote.
It is noted that the project to develop a weapons system to combat attack drones Russia keeps launching at Ukraine’s civil infrastructure was made possible thanks to the assistance of the Diana Podolianchuk Charitable Foundation.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on the night of March 29, Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 94 Russian drones.
