Deputy Defense Ministers Serhii Boiev and Kateryna Chernohorenko discussed enhancing Ukraine’s defense capabilities with a European Parliament delegation.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, the meeting with MEPs Riho Terras and Lucia Yar, as well as the Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Katarína Mathernová, took place during the first international forum Space for Ukraine, as reported by Ukrinform.
“During the meeting, the parties analyzed ways to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and joint initiatives in the field of security technologies. In addition, they discussed the directions for allocating new aid from the revenues of frozen Russian assets, particularly for the development of Ukraine’s defense industry,” the ministry stated.
The MoD noted that special attention was given to the prospects for strengthening European defense capabilities, particularly in the context of the EU Defense White Paper.
Boiev thanked the European partners for their consistent support of Ukraine. He stressed that Russia’s aggressive plans remain unchanged and require a consolidated response from European partners.

“Every voice in support of Ukraine matters. We are increasing our own arms production but still need assistance in several key areas: air defense, long-range weapons, and ammunition,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has created a Space Policy Directorate to unify domestic and international capabilities for the development of Ukraine’s military space sector.
