Airstrike on community in Zaporizhzhia region: One killed, three injured

Russia’s airstrike on a frontline community in the Zaporizhzhia region killed one civilian and injured three others.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“The number of wounded has increased to two people. A 57-year-old man was also injured by enemy strikes,” he wrote.

Earlier reports confirmed that a 46-year-old woman had been wounded.

Fedorov further clarified that rescuers had recovered the body of a 66-year-old woman from the rubble of a destroyed house.

In the village of Malokaterynivka, located in the Zaporizhzhia district, over 30 private homes were completely destroyed, and approximately 50 buildings were damaged by the Russian attack. Volodymyr Sosunovskyi, head of the Kushuhum community, shared this on Facebook.

“Kushuhum community, Malokaterynivka village needs help… There are dead, more than thirty houses completely destroyed, more than 50 damaged, a school and a church,” Sosunovskyi wrote.

Later, Fedorov wrote on Telegram that the number of injured had risen to three, stating, “Three people have now been injured as a result of enemy shelling of the frontline community”.

It was also reported that a 74-year-old woman, in moderate condition, was taken to the hospital, where doctors are providing her with medical assistance.

As reported, the enemy struck the village with five guided aerial bombs, completely destroying 30 houses and causing damage to approximately 50 others.
