British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump Sunday evening, during which the parties discussed a number of topics, including Ukraine.

This is stated in a press release posted on the British government website, Ukrinform saw.

Discussing Ukraine, the Prime Minister updated the President on the “productive discussions” at the meeting of the Coalition of Willing in Paris this week.

“The leaders agreed on the need to keep up the collective pressure on Putin,” the UK government reported.

The parties discussed productive negotiations between their teams on the UK-US agreement on economic prosperity, agreeing that these will continue at pace this week.

Starmer and Trump agreed to stay in touch in the coming days, the press release concluded.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said he was angered when Russian leader Vladimir Putin criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and noted that such comments do not move matters in the right direction.
