Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb discussed the next steps that can help Ukraine.
This was stated in Zelensky’s video address to the nation published on the President’s website, Ukrinform reports.
“I just spoke with the President of Finland – a very productive conversation, our relations are always meaningful. I’d like to thank President Stubb, all of Finland for their support for Ukraine, for their very rational positions and willingness to work together for the sake of bringing real peace closer,” Zelensky noted.
The Head of State briefed his interlocutor on the ongoing Russian strikes.
“The day before yesterday, there came a brutal attack on Kharkiv by the Russian Shaheds, one of them even damaged a hospital building, ordinary houses, ordinary civilian infrastructure. In total, 55 people were injured in that attack on Kharkiv alone, including five children; everyone was provided with assistance. Unfortunately, two people were killed. My condolences go out to their families and loved ones,” Zelensky stressed.
The parties spoke of possible steps that could help Ukraine.
“Alexander spoke of his visit to the United States of America and his talks with the President of the United States of America. We are ready to move together, to move together with America as quickly as possible in diplomacy, in our interaction. We expect that the United States, Europe, all our other partners who really want peace and guaranteed security will employ all necessary tools. Everyone needs the success of diplomacy, except Putin. So, we need to put pressure on him for diplomacy to succeed and for people’s lives to be preserved,” Zelensky emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said after a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump that the America was “running out” of patience with Russia.
