Two more Ukrainian children have been returned from Russian-occupied territory as part of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“One of them is a boy who was orphaned after his mother was killed by Russian troops. A relative reached out for help to save the child, and the boy was evacuated. He is now safe, and efforts are underway to find him a family that will provide proper care and support,” Yermak said.
Additionally, a girl and her mother, who had been unable to leave due to Russian-imposed restrictions, were evacuated to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
“I am grateful to the Ukrainian Child Rights Network for assisting in organizing this rescue mission. We are fulfilling the President’s task — to bring all children home,” Yermak said.
On March 29, five children were returned from Russian-occupied territories and Russia.
