Two children who were injured during yesterdayєs strike on Kryvyi Rih have been transported to Mechnikov Hospital in Dnipro in extremely critical condition.
Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Sixty-eight people were injured in the terrorist attacks, ranging from a three-month-old infant to elderly individuals. Forty people are currently hospitalized. Two children, aged 5 and 8, were taken to Mechnikov Hospital in Dnipro in extremely critical condition. Of those being treated in local hospitals, 17 are in serious condition, including two children. Doctors are fighting for their lives and are providing all necessary care,” Vilkul wrote.
As reported earlier, the enemy launched both missile and drone strikes on Kryvyi Rih on April 4. Nineteen people were killed, including nine children.
The attacks damaged 34 apartment buildings, six educational institutions, shops, businesses, infrastructure facilities, and vehicles. A private residence was destroyed. The extent of the damage is substantial and still being assessed. Emergency response and recovery efforts continued throughout the night. The rescue operation was officially completed by 02:45 on April 5.
