Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament’s Commissioner for Human Rights, has called on the world to take immediate action to stop the Russian aggressor after the latest mass strike on Ukrainian cities.
According to Ukrinform, the ombudsman made the statement on Telegram.
“Russia has once again carried out a mass strike on peaceful cities. Last night and this morning, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. The Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Mykolaiv regions were affected,” he said.
According to Lubinets, the attack caused damage to civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, and apartment blocks, with casualties reported, including injuries and deaths.
“Russia is not waging war — it is terrorizing. The world cannot turn a blind eye. The aggressor must be stopped immediately,” the ombudsman said.
On the night of April 5-6, Russian forces launched a combined strike on Ukraine using air-, land-, and sea-launched missiles, as well as attack drones. The aftermath of the attack has been recorded in the Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Mykolaiv regions.
