Russia’s latest actions in Ukraine demonstrate that its goal remains continued warfare, rather than peace.

Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs made this statement on social media platform X in response to Russia’s recent missile strikes against Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

“Poland strongly condemns yet another round of Russian bombardments of Ukraine. Russia must be held accountable for the deaths of Ukrainian civilians and the destruction of civilian infrastructure. Moscow’s recent actions demonstrate that its goal is further war, not peace,” the ministry said.

Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih on April 4, killing 20 people, including nine children aged between 3 and 17. On April 6, towns and villages across Ukraine observed a day of mourning in memory of the victims.

On the night of April 5-6, Ukraine’s defense forces shot down 13 Russian missiles and 40 drones. An additional 53 enemy UAVs disappeared from radar without causing any damage. The attack affected the Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Mykolaiv regions.

In response to the large-scale Russian air assault, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called for increased pressure on Moscow.
