Between March 31 and April 6, Russian forces made 15 attempts to storm Ukrainian positions on the left bank of the Kherson region, resulting in a significant increase in enemy losses during this time.
This information was shared during a briefing by Lieutenant Pavlo Drohal, spokesman for the Kherson operational and tactical group, Ukrinform reports.
“From March 31 to April 6, 2025, Russian aggressors conducted 460 attacks targeting Ukrainian defenders and civilian infrastructure. Additionally, the occupiers carried out three airstrikes,” Drohal reported.
According to Drohal, Russian forces persist in their attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions along the left bank of the Dnipro River. All 15 assault attempts last week were successfully repelled by Ukrainian forces.
Drogal reported that over 1,800 Russian drones attacked the Kherson region within the week, with the Defense Forces successfully neutralizing or destroying 81% of these UAVs.
“Russian forces continue to actively deploy UAVs of various types and modifications. The deployment of a total of 1,834 drone was recorded, including 476 within the Kherson territorial community,” he stated.
According to Drohal, 1,487 drones were suppressed or destroyed using electronic warfare systems, with 386 of those intercepted within the Kherson territorial community.
As Ukrinform reported, in the Kherson region, Russian forces continue efforts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River and establish control over the island zone. Between March 24 and 30, 2025, Russian troops attempted to storm Ukrainian positions nine times.
During this period, enemy losses amounted to 143 troops killed or wounded, along with the destruction of 23 pieces of military equipment.
In the autumn of 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully liberated the right-bank part of the Kherson region, including the city of Kherson. However, parts of the region on the left bank of the Dnipro River remain under temporary occupation by Russian troops.
