Last week, in one of the frontline areas, the Defense Forces lured the Russians into a trap and inflicted a devastating fire attack, destroying 120 infantrymen, three tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles and one car.
This was reported by Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev in Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, “the success of our actions in countering the enemy’s offensive operations is primarily determined by the availability of sufficient forces and means. They are the main prerequisite for the effective use of already organized intelligence, leadership, command and control and interaction.”

Nayev noted that he works directly with brigade and battalion commanders, NCOs and soldiers to ensure proper interaction between units and coordinated execution of tasks in areas where the enemy is trying to break through.
“There is some success. In particular, last week in the Andriivka-Oleksiyivka area. The enemy was lured into a pre-prepared trap, stopped and then inflicted a devastating fire attack by several brigades and units,” said the lieutenant general.
According to him, more than 600 artillery shells and more than 200 attack drones were used and 120 Russian infantrymen, three tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles and one car were destroyed.
According to Nayev, the area was cleared after the battle. Thus, the enemy’s intention failed.
“This is the result of clear coordination, early detection of the enemy’s plans, and most importantly, the availability of the necessary forces and means for an adequate response. This is the determining factor in modern warfare. If there are not enough forces or means, then reinforcement should take place,” Nayev emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, 165 combat engagements were recorded at the front yesterday, April 6, and 53 Russian attacks were stopped in the Pokrovsk direction by the Defense Forces.
