
Russian forces shelled the Komar, Pokrovsk, Hrodivka, Kostiantynivka, and Lyman communities in the Donetsk region on Sunday, killing one person and wounding five others.
Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said this in a post on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“One person was killed and five others were wounded as a result of today’s shelling in Donetsk region. In the Komar community, the Russians shelled the center of Novokhatske — a residential building was hit, a 67-year-old woman was killed, and three others were injured,” the post said.
In Pokrovsk, the driver of a civilian vehicle was wounded. Two more civilians were injured in the village of Malynivka, Hrodivka community.
The Kostiantynivka and Lyman communities also came under fire today.
“Even on Palm Sunday, the Russians continue to kill civilians along the entire front line,” Filashkin added.
He urged all residents of frontline communities to evacuate to safer regions in Ukraine.
