Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian forces have killed 618 children in Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General on Facebook.
“Over 2,500 children have suffered in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression. As of the morning of April 14, 2025, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 618 children have been killed and more than 1,884 have sustained injuries of varying severity,” the statement reads.
The highest number of child casualties has been recorded in Donetsk region – 638, Kharkiv region – 480, Kherson region – 203, Dnipropetrovsk region – 228, Kyiv region – 136, Zaporizhzhia region – 170, Mykolaiv region – 118, Sumy region – 132.
On April 13, as a result of the Russian missile strike on Sumy, two boys aged 11 and 17 were killed. Fifteen children were injured: seven girls aged 1 to 14 and eight boys aged 7 to 16.
On April 10, a 13-year-old girl was injured during a drone attack in the village of Ozernе, Zhytomyr region.
That same day, a 16-year-old boy was wounded in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region.
As reported by Ukrinform, according to Ukrainian human rights advocates, up to 1.6 million Ukrainian children are currently under Russian control — either deported to Russia or forced to live in temporarily occupied territories.
