Four civilians killed, 17 injured in Kherson region due to Russian shelling

On April 17, four people were killed and 17 injured as a result of Russian shelling in Kherson region. Two people died near the town of Beryslav, where a Russian drone attacked a road service vehicle, and two others were killed in Kherson following an airstrike.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

“According to the investigation, on April 17, 2025, Russian forces attacked settlements in Kherson region using aviation, artillery (including rocket artillery), and various types of drones,” the report states.

By 17:00, four people had been confirmed killed and 17 injured in Kherson, Antonivka, and Romashkove. Among the injured is a teenager who was hospitalized in critical condition, as well as a paramedic and an ambulance driver.

Most civilian casualties were caused by drone-dropped munitions, some resulted from the airstrike on the regional center, and one person was injured by artillery shelling.

According to the prosecutor’s office, around 14:00, the invaders attacked a road service vehicle near Beryslav with a drone. Two men, aged 35 and 44, were killed.

Two more people suffered fatal injuries in an airstrike on Kherson.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pretrial investigation has been launched into war crimes.

Earlier reports indicate that the death toll from the Russian strike on Kherson’s Central district has risen to two — a 55-year-old man died of injuries incompatible with life. He was the father of the critically injured teenager.
