
A Russian drone struck the grounds of a hospital in downtown Kherson, injuring six people. Another person was wounded when a drone attacked a car in Dniprovskyi district of the city.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Kherson City Military Administration (CMA).
“After 12:00, an enemy drone struck the grounds of one of Kherson’s hospitals in the city center,” the statement reads.
According to the report, the injured include three men born in 1960, 1981, and 1984, and a young man born in 2006. All received the necessary medical assistance. Two of them were hospitalized, while the other two will undergo outpatient treatment.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration (RMA), also stated on Facebook that the Russian military used drones to attack a hospital in Kherson. The strike damaged hospital facilities, civilian cars, and medical vehicles.
Later, the Kherson CMA clarified that four of the wounded civilians were employees of a funeral service. Russian forces had targeted a funeral procession with a drone on the hospital grounds.
“Russian terrorists used a drone around noon to attack a funeral procession on the hospital grounds in the center of Kherson,” the update said.
The city authorities added that the hospital building and vehicles were also damaged.
It was later confirmed that the number of injured rose to six, including two hospital employees.
“According to updated information, the drone attack on a hospital in downtown Kherson injured six people: four funeral service workers and two hospital staff,” the Kherson RMA posted on Telegram.
All the victims suffered blast and shrapnel injuries. The ages of the injured range from 19 to 64 years.
In addition, the CMA reported that a 48-year-old Kherson resident sought medical attention after being wounded around 10:00 by a Russian drone strike on a vehicle in Dniprovskyi district. The man sustained a shrapnel wound to the leg and will undergo outpatient treatment.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, one person was killed and seven others injured in Kherson region over the past day due to Russian aggression.
