Russians launch nearly 100 strikes at Sumy region over past day, one person killed

Throughout the past day, Russian forces launched nearly 100 strikes targeting 30 settlements in Sumy region, resulting in the death of one person.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

As a result of the Russian attacks, one person was killed in Shalyhyne community.

According to the regional administration, the majority of strikes were recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.

The enemy actively used artillery, mortars, guided aerial bombs, FPV drones, and UAVs. The Russians launched over 30 guided bombs, carried out more than 20 attacks with strike UAVs, and nearly 20 attacks with FPV drones.

In Seredyna-Buda community, private residential houses were damaged.

In Esman community, a private house was damaged.

In Vorozhba community, buildings belonging to a business were damaged, while in Putyvl community, a private home and a passenger car were damaged.

Additionally, in Shostka community, residential houses were damaged.

Over the course of the day, 14 more people were evacuated from the border communities.

Earlier reports indicate that at nighttime on April 28, Shostka was under attack by Russian drones which damaged residential buildings and vehicles.
