Ukraine’s air defense forces destroyed nine Russian drones that attacked Kyiv overnight. As a result of the drone attack, three people required medical assistance.
The Kyiv City Military Administration announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Over the past 24 hours, air raid alerts in the capital were announced three times — due to threats of ballistic missile strikes and attacks by enemy strike UAVs. During the overnight drone attack, 11 enemy drones were detected over the outskirts of Kyiv and the city’s airspace. Of these, nine were destroyed by air defense systems. Two disappeared from radar,” the statement reads.
According to the military administration, no critical infrastructure was damaged.
In Kyiv, debris from one of the downed drones caused a fire at a recreational facility in the Desnianskyi district.
In addition, buildings and vehicles were damaged. Emergency services continue to operate at the site.
“Three people sought medical assistance at the scene but did not require hospitalization,” the post said.
