
Two people were killed and five others injured in a Russian drone attack on Odesa overnight.
Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“As a result of the enemy attack, residential apartment buildings, private homes, a supermarket, a school, and passenger vehicles were damaged. Fires broke out in several locations and are being extinguished by emergency services. Two people were killed, and five others sustained injuries. Medical teams are providing all necessary assistance to the victims,” the statement reads.
Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the strike are ongoing. Emergency tents have been set up at the scene to provide additional aid.
“The enemy launched another massive attack on the city. Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in various districts of Odesa have been damaged. Fires broke out, and reports of casualties are continuing to come in. An elderly couple who lived on the top floor of a building with their shepherd dog Jack are currently unreachable. Their children have reported losing contact with them,” Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov wrote on Telegram.
According to Trukhanov, emergency and municipal services are actively working at the scene to eliminate the aftermath of the attacks and provide medical aid to the injured.
“The school sustained minor damage — four windows were shattered. It is currently open to anyone in need of support, and hot tea is being served to help people warm up. Additional assistance tents are being set up on site,” the mayor added.
