A Russian airstrike on the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region has killed one person, with another individual potentially trapped under the rubble.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this via Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
A series of airstrikes on the city damaged several residential homes and outbuildings. Emergency crews recovered the body of a deceased man from beneath the rubble of one of the houses. Another person may still be trapped.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing, taking into account the security situation in the area.
Fragments of an aerial munition were recovered at the site where the civilian was killed. Preliminary analysis suggests it was a FAB-1500 bomb equipped with a glide and guidance module.
Law enforcement has launched a pre-trial investigation under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).

It was reported earlier that on the morning of May 2, a Russian drone strike on Stanislav, Kherson region, killed a 34-year-old civilian.
