
In Kharkiv region, four settlements and the city of Kharkiv were affected by Russian strikes over the past 24 hours. A 47-year-old man was killed in Kupiansk, while 48 people were injured.
This was reported by Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration (RMA), on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Over the past 24 hours, four settlements and the city of Kharkiv were affected by enemy strikes. As a result, a 47-year-old man was killed in Kupiansk, and 48 people were injured,” the message reads.
Russian forces used a wide range of weapons in the attack on Kharkiv region, including 11 guided aerial bombs (KABs), three FPV drones, 21 Shahed-type drones, 28 Geran-2 drones.
In Kupiansk district, a private house, an outbuilding, a store, and an apartment building were damaged; in Bohodukhiv district, two private homes, two outbuildings, and a warehouse building were damaged or destroyed; in Izium district, an outbuilding sustained damage.
In an attack on the city of Kharkiv, Russian forces launched 17 Geran-2 drones targeting four districts: Slobidskyi, Saltivskyi, Kyivskyi, and Osnovianskyi. The strikes damaged apartment buildings, a kindergarten, 17 cars, educational institutions, garages, and private homes.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, explosions were heard in Kharkiv in the evening of May 2. A total of 46 people were reported injured, including an 11-year-old child.
