“I thank the Senate for adopting 9 resolutions in support of Ukraine and for its contribution to advancing the International Crimea Platform,” Zelensky emphasized.

As the press service added, during the meeting, the President emphasized that Ukraine has consistently demonstrated its readiness to establish a full, unconditional ceasefire for 30 days as the first step toward achieving a just and sustainable peace. At the same time, Russia does not support either the American proposal or, at least, the cessation of strikes targeting civilian facilities.

Zelensky noted the importance of ramping up pressure on Russia, including by introducing additional sanctions against the energy and banking sectors. Ukraine is counting on support from the Czech Republic, Zelensky stressed.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Zelensky hopes to see new defense production facilities open in Ukraine with the help of the Czech Republic.
