
Russian shelling in the Donetsk region killed one civilian and left eight others injured on Saturday, May 17.
Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“This morning, Russian forces attacked Yablunivka in the Illinivka community with an FPV drone: a 27-year-old woman was killed, and a shop was damaged,” Filashkin wrote.
He added that another FPV drone struck a civilian car in the Andriivka community, injuring five people, including a minor.
Additionally, two people were wounded in Pokrovsk and one person in Myrnohrad, he said.
Filashkin stressed that the entire Donetsk region remains under constant shelling and urged residents to act responsibly and evacuate in a timely manner.
On May 16, Russian shelling killed two civilians and injured nine others in the region.
