Russia’s war casualty toll in Ukraine up by 1,040 over past day

The total combat losses of Russian forces in the war against Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to May 19, 2025, amount to approximately 974,770 personnel, including 1,040 in the past 24 hours.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

In addition, Russian forces have lost: 10,833 (+1) tanks, 22,562 (+5) armored fighting vehicles, 28,009 (+29) artillery systems, 1,387 (+0) MLRS, 1,167 (+0) air defense systems, 372 (+0) aircraft, 336 (+0) helicopters, 36,503 (+118) operational-tactical UAVs, 3,197 (+0) cruise missiles, 28 (+0) warships / boats, one (+0) submarine, 48,988 (+88) vehicles and fuel tankers, 3,892 (+0) units of special equipment.

Ukrinform previously reported that as of 22:00 on May 18, there were 130 combat engagements with Russian invaders along the frontline.
