
The White House confirmed on Monday that U.S. President Donald Trump is having a phone conversation with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.
According to Ukrinform, Sky News reported this.
The report notes that on the eve of the conversation, the White House said that Trump was “disappointed” with Putin and Zelensky.
As Ukrinform reported, on May 17, Trump announced that on Monday, May 19, he would talk to Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin, after which he would call Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The White House chief said he would talk to Putin about “stopping the bloodshed” and trade.
Trump added that he hopes it will be a “productive day.”
