Ukraine’s air defense forces neutralized 63 drones launched by Russia in an overnight attack on Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Air Force said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, according to Ukrinform.

Beginning at 00:30 on Wednesday, May 21, Russian forces launched 76 strike UAVs — primarily Shahed-type drones and other drone decoys — from Kursk, Oryol, and Bryansk.
Ukraine’s air defenses, including fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, drone warfare units, and mobile fire groups, responded to the aerial assault.
As of 09:00 on Wednesday, May 21, Ukrainian forces had successfully neutralized 63 Shahed-type and other drones across eastern, northern, and central regions. Of these, 22 were destroyed by air defense fire, while 41 vanished from radar screens or were suppressed by electronic warfare systems, without causing damage.
Damage from the attack was reported in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
