Shelling in Kharkiv region: Six civilians injured, homes, infrastructure damaged

Kharkiv and six other settlements in the Kharkiv region came under Russian attack on May 20, with six civilians injured by shelling.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported the details on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

He noted that three women — aged 72, 69, and 55 — were injured in shelling in Kupiansk.

In the village of Myrne, part of the Kindrashivka community, a 57-year-old man was wounded; a 58-year-old woman was injured in Nechvolodivka; and a 26-year-old woman was wounded in Borova.

Additionally, in the village of Lukashove, part of the Vovchansk community, a 62-year-old woman was injured after triggering an unidentified explosive device.

Syniehubov stressed that Russian forces used a drone to strike the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv.

In total, the enemy launched four guided aerial bombs, nine drones — including seven Shahed-136/Geran-2 drones — and two FPV drones across the region.

In the Kupiansk district, six private homes and two outbuildings were damaged, and two houses were destroyed.

In the Kharkiv district, a local agricultural enterprise sustained damage.

Over the past 24 hours, 164 combat clashes were recorded on the front lines, the governor added.

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces attempted three assaults to break through defensive lines near Vovchansk and toward Stroivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, enemy troops attacked the area near Nova Kruhliakivka.
