Since the beginning of the day, 65 combat engagements have occurred between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian troops, with the majority taking place in the Pokrovsk sector.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, as cited by Ukrinform.
“As of 16:00, 65 combat engagements have taken place on the front. Our defenders are holding their lines and positions, stopping the enemy’s advance,” the statement said.
According to the General Staff, Russian forces conducted artillery strikes from inside Russian territory, targeting settlements including Zarichchia and Khrinivka in the Chernihiv region, as well as Prokhody, Romashkove, Zarichne, Buniakyne, Myropilske, Porozok, Hrabovske, Bachivsk, and Novovasylivka in the Sumy region.
In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Vovchansk and towards Mala Shapkivka.
In the Kupiansk sector, one Russian assault was repelled near Kindrashivka.
In the Lyman sector, nine combat clashes took place near Ridkodub, Hrekivka, and Zelena Dolyna, with battles continuing in the direction of Novoserhiivka, Olhivka, Novyi Myr, and Serebrianskyi Forest. Three combat clashes are still ongoing
In the Siversk sector, Russian forces launched two attacks on Ukrainian defensive positions near Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian army conducted two assaults near Chasiv Yar and toward Predtechyno.
In the Toretsk sector, invading forces carried out eight attacks in the areas of Diliyivka, Druzhba, and Toretsk, with two combat engagements still ongoing.
“The enemy remains highly active in the Pokrovsk sector. Today alone, 27 clashes of varying intensity have erupted near Yablunivka, Zoria, Shevchenko Pershe, Nova Poltavka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Dachenske, Kotlyne, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Troitske, and Kotliarivka. Five battles are still ongoing,” the General Staff reported.
In the Novopavlivka sector, Russian troops attempted to advance 10 times near Bahatyr, Odradne, Shevchenko, Rivne, Novopil, and Zelene Pole. One combat engagement is still in progress.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces attempted to advance toward Ukrainian positions near Chervone three times, with one combat engagement still ongoing. Huliaipole and Vysoke were also targeted by unguided aerial missile strikes.
In the Orikhiv sector, enemy aircraft launched an airstrike using unguided aerial missiles against Novoandriivka.
In the Kursk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack. The enemy carried out six airstrikes, downed 15 UAVs, and fired 118 artillery rounds, including four from multiple launch rocket systems.
The General Staff reported that Russian forces did not engage in active offensive operations in the Orikhiv and Prydniprovskyi sectors.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops in the Kharkiv region continue rotating assault units while amassing and reinforcing reserves near the city of Vovchansk and the village of Dvorichne.
