
Russian forces launched strikes on six settlements in the Kharkiv region over the past day, wounding a 66-year-old man and causing widespread destruction.
According to Ukrinform, Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, reported on Facebook that the man was injured in shelling in Pechenihy.
Syniehubov stated that Russian forces used two guided aerial bombs, five Shahed UAVs, ten Geran-2 UAVs, one FPV drone, and another unidentified UAV in the attacks.
In the Chuhuiv district, an enterprise building and five trucks sustained damage. In the Kupiansk district, 17 private homes and an apartment building were affected, while a private house was damaged in the Kharkiv district.
Russian forces also attempted to breach Ukrainian defensive lines eight times in the Kharkiv sector, targeting Vovchansk, Mala Shapkivka, and the area near Dovhenke.
Additionally, six Russian assaults took place in the Kupiansk sector, but Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled attacks near Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Kindrashivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, and toward Pishchane.
As Ukrinform reported, on May 22, Russians attacked Velykyi Burluk in the Kharkiv region, destroying a two-story administrative building and a civilian enterprise.
