Large-scale drone attack destroys enterprise building, damages homes and power lines in Poltava region

A Russian drone strike on the Poltava region overnight left one person injured and caused extensive damage in the Kremenchuk community.

According to Ukrinform, Volodymyr Kohut, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, reported on Telegram that the attack directly hit an enterprise building, destroying it. Falling debris sparked a fire, which was swiftly contained by State Emergency Service units.

The blast wave damaged seven private homes, while power lines were also affected. As a result, more than 100 businesses and nearly 1,800 households remain without electricity.

Emergency services continue working to mitigate the damage. Kohut confirmed that one person sustained injuries but declined hospitalization.

The attack also caused significant damage to power lines, leaving over 100 businesses and nearly 1,800 households without electricity, according to Kohut.

Additionally, more than 270 subscribers in the Poltava district lost power due to infrastructure damage caused by UAV debris. Repair teams are actively working to restore electricity.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, on May 15, debris from a Russian drone strike in the Lubny district of the Poltava region ignited a fire in a residential building, also damaging other properties in the area.
